MOD21 Production hall
Opening of the MOD21 Factory
in Ostaszewo, near Toruń
1,000 guests, 21 unique attractions from the high-tech world
MOD21 represents a combination of innovation and ecology, both in terms of the production process and the product itself. Opening the plant is a path of 21 stations symbolically or literally linked to the modules.
Our visitors entered the factory through a tunnel that imitated a forest, and inside they were able to immerse themselves in virtual reality, visit a bicycle cinema, solve a giant Jenga or Rubik’s cube, learn what a building made of wooden modules looks like, or discover the production process at the MOD21 factory.
Manufacturing plant in Ostaszewo
The MOD21 production facility meets high environmental standards and will ultimately be an energy-neutral and zero-emission facility.
We have completed the assembly of the production line, supplied by the German company WEINMANN, a world leader in the prefabricated building material plant equipment segment, and we are ready to go, ultimately producing 30,000 square metres of total module space.
The panel discussion under the title:
“Building the Future” was the finale
of the MOD21 opening ceremony.
The discussion was attended by five participants representing various fields, including Professor Hans Joachim Schellnhuber, who has been called the “German Climate Pope”, Dr. Andreas Mattner – President of the German Property Federation (ZIA), Wojciech Kostrzewa – President of the Polish Business Council, Dr. Thomas Bagger – German Ambassador to Poland, and Annabelle von Reutern – architect and member of Architects for Future.
SHOWROOM MOD21
Our showroom, which is constructed in modular timber technology, is erected in front of the factory. Made up of six modules, the facility includes demonstration rooms, along with a proposed décor showcasing the finishing materials to be found in the MOD21 range: a hospital room, hotel room and office room upstairs, while downstairs is an open-plan office space with a bathroom and kitchen.
During the opening a press conference for Polish and German journalists was held in the showroom.
The launch of MOD21 is a culmination of several months of titanic work by hard-working personnel. Today we are taking off with the most modern modular buildings factory in Europe with a fully automated production line.
