There are still only a few women working in the construction industry. On the occasion of International Women’s Day, we want to draw attention to this fact and raise awareness for justice in the world of work. Our aim is to show young people that women can also make a career in the construction industry. Together with the Erbud Group, we have therefore published the second part of the children’s book “Klara builds”. In the book follow-up, we not only show children that they can achieve anything if they hold on to their dreams. “Klara builds. Das Baumhaus” is a book about one’s own wishes, challenges and alternative building methods.

At this year’s New Year’s Meeting of the Pomeranian Special Economic Zone, MOD21 was awarded for its innovative environmental solutions. We are proud that our commitment to more sustainable construction has been recognised and that we have been able to set a new benchmark in the industry.

MOD21 is considered a flagship project for sustainability and green investment in the Special Economic Zone. We are proud to contribute to creating a more sustainable future and will continue to work hard to develop innovative and sustainable solutions. We look forward to receiving more awards in the future for our efforts in sustainable development.

The starting signal for our production was given during a grand opening ceremony with 1,000 guests, 21 attractions and an exciting panel discussion on the topic of “The Future of Construction”. At exactly 11:21 a.m., the opening of our new 21,000 m2 production hall began in Ostaszewo near Toruń.

The audience was international, and among the visitors to the opening ceremony were numerous prominent guests, partners and employees of MOD21 and ERBUD. The programme of the festive event offered a firework of attractions. In addition to the tour of the 270 m long production plant, numerous “stations” awaited the guests – for example VR experiences, giant jenga or building magic cubes.

We support the local forests and planted 850 trees in Franconian Switzerland on 10 November together with pupils of the secondary school in Neustadt an der Aisch (Nuremberg region). Together with the MOD21 cooperation partner Treemer®, we met with 19 pupils, 2 teachers from the school and 4 employees of the company near Plech close to Nuremberg to plant trees on site and learn more about the forest ecosystem.

As a company that contributes to the building turnaround, we not only want to actively contribute to the reforestation of the local forests, but also make a contribution to the environmental education of the regional youth. Therefore, the company invited the pupils from Neustadt an der Aisch to their planting event in the forest. Led by Treemer® Managing Director Olaf Legeler, an education about the forest and its essential contribution to climate and species protection was initiated. Afterwards, students and staff planted the young cuttings in the MOD21 forest.

Our trade fair debut in Munich was a complete success. For the first time we presented our new segment, modular timber construction, as an exhibitor at EXPO REAL, the 24th International Trade Fair for Real Estate and Investment in Munich, from 4 to 6 October 2022. Supported by the City of Düsseldorf, visitors were able to come and see us at stand B1.210 and learn more about our MOD21 technology.
The trade fair was both interesting and exciting for our team of six. Many interested people visited our stand and wanted to get to know us personally. They follow our development and want to learn more about our timber construction solutions.

The conclusion after the fair is positive. We were able to position ourselves as a brand on the market, further expand our awareness and reach potential new customers.
