Golden accolade at the Złote Spinacze Awards

MOD21 and ERBUD GROUP have achieved outstanding success at the Złote Spinacze Awards, winning the coveted Golden Bracket in two main categories: “Employer Branding” and “Real Estate, Construction, Housing and Interiors”. This prestigious Polish public relations award recognises exceptional achievements in the PR industry.
The award-winning project “The MOD21 factory in Robert Małecki’s crime thriller” was not only creative and innovative, but also had a charitable dimension. The connection between MOD21 and the renowned crime novelist Robert Małecki and his current work “Urwisko” not only led to an exciting integration of the company into the plot of the crime novel, but also supported the children’s hospice in Torun (Hospicjum Nadzieja) through the generous donation from ERBUD and MOD21. The award emphasises MOD21 and ERBUD GROUP’s commitment to creativity, innovation and social engagement.
SUSTAINABLE AND COST-EFFICIENT – NEW MODULE SERIES FOR ACCOMMODATION/FLATS

MOD21 presents a new and innovative modular series for shared accommodation/housing that not only meets the current need for affordable and fast housing, but also focusses on sustainability and flexible use. This pioneering building concept was developed in collaboration with architects from STRUCTURELAB and is revolutionising the construction of shared accommodation and living space in cities and communities.
The MOD21 accommodation/apartment module series offers an innovative solution for municipalities that are urgently looking for efficient and sustainable building solutions to accommodate refugees. This is where MOD21’s sophisticated module series comes in with its integrated subsequent utilisation concept. After initial use as shared accommodation, the same building can be converted into affordable living space without the need for costly conversions. This holistic planning approach makes it possible to create cost-effective and timelessly designed living space.
Thanks to the serial and modular construction method, the buildings are practically “ready to build” and can be realised in record time. An additional service offered by MOD21 is a modular construction configurator that allows customers to plan the building in 3D and make individual customisations.
New and innovative module series presented at EXPO REAL 2023

At EXPO REAL 2023, the leading trade fair for real estate and investment, MOD21 showed its new solution for more sustainable building development with flexible usage options and potential reusability. The practical modular building configurator was also presented, with which interested parties could easily plan their building and compare the CO2 emissions with a conventional building. In this way, the company addresses the key megatopics of the construction industry: sustainability, decarbonisation and digitalisation. Visitors to the stand also had the opportunity to experience the MOD21 showroom realistically and in 3D using VR glasses. The MOD21 team was satisfied with the high number of visitors at the stand and the associated interest in the new module series.
Opening of the first MOD21 day care centre

MOD21 celebrated the official opening of the day care centre “Fuchsbau” in Eisingen near Pforzheim on 08 September 2023, the first MOD21 project in Germany. Sascha-Felipe Hottinger, mayor of the municipality of Eisingen, was personally at the opening and supported the project. He emphasised the importance of sustainable construction and lauded the quick completion of the project thanks to the wooden modular construction, which made it possible to realise the day care centre in only five months.
With the opening of the “Fuchsbau”, MOD21 is sending a clear signal for innovative solutions in construction and is helping to strengthen the educational and social infrastructure in the region.

Federal Minister for Building Klara Geywitz visits MOD21 production site

MOD21’s production plant shows the future of innovative construction – something Klara Geywitz, Federal Minister for Housing, Urban Development and Construction, was able to see for herself on 30 June 2023. The minister visited the production facility of the start-up company MOD21. Politicians and media representatives had the opportunity to see the modern production facility in Ostaszewo in detail and to learn about MOD21’s innovative concept. The visit of Federal Minister of Construction Klara Geywitz underlines the future potential of innovative, modular timber construction, which opens up attractive and sustainable perspectives for building owners.

MOD21 receives TOPBuilder Award for its factory

MOD21 has been awarded the prestigious TOPBuilder Award in the “Investment” category for the construction of its new factory in Ostaszewo. The coveted prize was awarded by Builder Polska magazine. The award recognises MOD21’s commitment and innovation in the construction of their state-of-the-art factory.
The MOD21 team is proud of this recognition and thanks all those involved who contributed to the success of this project.
MOD21 successful at the Real Estate Day in Berlin

Berlin – The Real Estate Day at the Friedrichstadtpalast was a great success for MOD21. As a member of the Central Real Estate Committee (ZIA), MOD21 received recognition as an emerging brand in the industry.
A special highlight was the appearance of ERBUD’s CEO, Dariusz Grzeszczak, on stage. He had the honour of speaking about serial and modular construction, a forward-looking topic in the construction industry. His contribution was received with great interest by the experts and spectators present.
The Real Estate Day provided a unique opportunity for MOD21 to present itself as an innovator in the field of sustainable construction and to make important contacts in the industry.
Book premiere of Robert Małecki’s crime novel “Urwisko”

Author Robert Małecki presented his latest crime novel “Urwisko” in the production halls of MOD21. The book has a special significance for MOD21, as part of the story takes place in the MOD21 factory and characters from the company are included in the plot.
MOD21 employees were invited to the reading with the author and were able to ask him questions in person.
As part of the collaboration with MOD21/ERBUD, Małecki waived his fee and donated it to the children’s hospice “Hospicjum Nadzieja” in Torun instead. MOD21 supported this generous gesture and topped up the donation to the hospice by another 21,000 złoty.
Successful first quarter: contracts worth 12.7 million euros assured

MOD21 had an extremely successful first quarter in 2023 and recorded a strong market entry in Germany. Already at the beginning of the year, orders worth 12.7 million euros were secured. One project will already be completed in the first half of the year, while two more will follow in autumn.
Production for the new day-care centre in Eisingen will start in April. Afterwards, the state-of-the-art production line will manufacture the timber modules for a project in Munich. Thanks to the modular construction, the building can already be occupied in autumn and offers a total area of 3,600 square metres in which 180 people will be accommodated.
At the same time, the modules for a new two-storey day-care centre in Reutlingen will go into production. Other projects in education and housing sectors are in the final stages of negotiation.

PUBLICATION OF THE CHILDREN’S BOOK “KLARA BUILDS. THE TREEHOUSE”

There are still only a few women working in the construction industry. On the occasion of International Women’s Day, we want to draw attention to this fact and raise awareness for justice in the world of work. Our aim is to show young people that women can also make a career in the construction industry. Together with the Erbud Group, we have therefore published the second part of the children’s book “Klara builds”. In the book follow-up, we not only show children that they can achieve anything if they hold on to their dreams. “Klara builds. Das Baumhaus” is a book about one’s own wishes, challenges and alternative building methods.
AWARD FOR INNOVATIVE ENVIRONMENTAL SOLUTIONS

At this year’s New Year’s Meeting of the Pomeranian Special Economic Zone, MOD21 was awarded for its innovative environmental solutions. We are proud that our commitment to more sustainable construction has been recognised and that we have been able to set a new benchmark in the industry.
MOD21 is considered a flagship project for sustainability and green investment in the Special Economic Zone. We are proud to contribute to creating a more sustainable future and will continue to work hard to develop innovative and sustainable solutions. We look forward to receiving more awards in the future for our efforts in sustainable development.
PRODUCTION PLANT OPENED

The starting signal for our production was given during a grand opening ceremony with 1,000 guests, 21 attractions and an exciting panel discussion on the topic of “The Future of Construction”. At exactly 11:21 a.m., the opening of our new 21,000 m2 production hall began in Ostaszewo near Toruń.
The audience was international, and among the visitors to the opening ceremony were numerous prominent guests, partners and employees of MOD21 and ERBUD. The programme of the festive event offered a firework of attractions. In addition to the tour of the 270 m long production plant, numerous “stations” awaited the guests – for example VR experiences, giant jenga or building magic cubes.
TREES PLANTED FOR CLIMATE PROTECTION

We support the local forests and planted 850 trees in Franconian Switzerland on 10 November together with pupils of the secondary school in Neustadt an der Aisch (Nuremberg region). Together with the MOD21 cooperation partner Treemer®, we met with 19 pupils, 2 teachers from the school and 4 employees of the company near Plech close to Nuremberg to plant trees on site and learn more about the forest ecosystem.
As a company that contributes to the building turnaround, we not only want to actively contribute to the reforestation of the local forests, but also make a contribution to the environmental education of the regional youth. Therefore, the company invited the pupils from Neustadt an der Aisch to their planting event in the forest. Led by Treemer® Managing Director Olaf Legeler, an education about the forest and its essential contribution to climate and species protection was initiated. Afterwards, students and staff planted the young cuttings in the MOD21 forest.
SUCCESSFUL TRADE FAIR DEBUT AT THE 24TH EXPO REAL

Our trade fair debut in Munich was a complete success. For the first time we presented our new segment, modular timber construction, as an exhibitor at EXPO REAL, the 24th International Trade Fair for Real Estate and Investment in Munich, from 4 to 6 October 2022. Supported by the City of Düsseldorf, visitors were able to come and see us at stand B1.210 and learn more about our MOD21 technology.
The trade fair was both interesting and exciting for our team of six. Many interested people visited our stand and wanted to get to know us personally. They follow our development and want to learn more about our timber construction solutions.
The conclusion after the fair is positive. We were able to position ourselves as a brand on the market, further expand our awareness and reach potential new customers.
